Dana Fergins
With over 20 years of dedicated experience in leadership development, higher education, and history education, Dana Michelle Fergins is a transformative educator and advocate for equitable education. She currently serves as an education and history professor, where she passionately equips future leaders with effective, research-based strategies for personal and professional growth.
Dana’s extensive background in leadership training and program development ensures that all stakeholders benefit from high-quality, impactful educational experiences. Her expertise encompasses growth mindset, networking, personal development, and leadership strategies, making her a sought-after speaker and trainer at conferences and workshops across the nation.
A proud two-time graduate of Louisiana State University of Shreveport, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees, Dana also holds a master’s degree in history from Louisiana Tech University. She is certified in history, principalship, supervision of student teaching, and leadership training.
Throughout her distinguished career, Dana has been recognized as a two-time Teacher of the Year and awarded the Master Presenter title at the NISOD International on Teaching and Leadership Excellence. Her commitment to student success and professional development has made a significant impact in the lives of many.
In addition to her teaching and training roles, Dana serves on the Board of Directors for the Lupus Foundation of America, Lone Star Chapter, and has held recent leadership positions such as Chairwoman of the Junior League of Collin County Adaptive Leadership Training Committee. A proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, she is deeply committed to advocating for women and youth.
